We are looking at a new and different Wild About Blue fundraiser for 2020! Since we don’t have a crystal ball, we don’t know what October will bring us. Wild About Blue will likely change, but we know that we can still count on our supporters, like you!!
It is time to join the Honorary Committee for our Wild About Blue fundraiser. We are asking you to please make your commitment to the Honorary Committee today. Even if the event becomes a virtual event, we still need you for this critical fundraiser! Payment can be made online at www.wiltonpreserve.org/wild-about-blue
This year the Metamorphosis Award will honor the Karner blue butterfly. This award was established to recognize the creation of transformative change in our community. We knew that we needed to find the perfect honoree for these unusual times so we have returned to our roots to honor the Karner blue butterfly. This tiny, lovely, endangered species has created positive and dramatic changes in so many ways in our community! The Karner blue butterfly was the catalyst for the land protection and conservation work that has transformed this part of Saratoga County.
More than ever, your support matters! We have seen how important our trails are for getting people out in nature during these stressful times. We count on Wild About Blue to help support our work in conservation, environmental education, and outdoor recreation. This work includes not only the habitat work for the Karner blue butterfly, but the creation and maintenance of more than 25 miles of recreational trails, year-round environmental education programs for all ages and interests, and free public events like our Wildlife Festival and Moonlight Ski and Snowshoe.
With deep appreciation for your generous support,
The Wild About Blue Committee: Linda Baker, Mark Bellantoni,Jennifer Benaman, Jenn Hunt-Dempsey, Jennifer Ferriss, Bob Lippman, MatthewMiczek, Tina Morency, Margo Olson, Marne Onderdonk, Marci Revette, Bob Rice,Ryan Riper, Tim Schlachter, Kurt Smemo, and Caroline Stem
