Winter Trail Report - January 19, 2020

We were hoping for 8 inches but we are very happy to have a very nice solid 5 inches of snow. People have been asking about grooming but our VSA (Volunteer Stewardship Agreement) with NYS DEC does not allow us to groom until we have 8 inches of snow on the ground. So keep doing your snow dances and if we get another storm next weekend we should be in luck!

The snow conditions are excellent so don't let the lack of grooming discourage you from getting out on the trails. We will be renting snowshoes and cross country skis from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm this Monday for the holiday. We will also be renting on the weekends as long as we have snow conditions that are good - and they are good right now! Rentals are $5.00 or free for our members. They have a current membership list in the rental hut by Parking Lot #1 on Scout Road, so stop in and get out to enjoy the winter wonderland of the Saratoga Sandplains!
