The second brood of Karner blue butterfies were out from July 4th through August 3rd

Karner Blue Butterfly WalksWednesdays at 11am & 4pmJuly 13th, 20th, 27th, and August 3rdSaturday June 18th at 10amThe endangered Karner blue butterfly has two broods every summer. The first brood emerged on May 19th and the 2nd brood emerged over 4th of July weekend. We will be looking for adults that are searching for nectar and mates in the open pine/oak savannah meadows. The walks will depart from Old Gick Farm trailhead on route 50, north of King Road and will be about an hour.
