Made famous by the French impressionists, painting outdoors is growing in popularity. If you want to get outside, learn from an artist, and combine your love of art and nature, this is the workshop for you! This program is appropriate for participants older than 13. All supplies will be provided.

Historic Cornell Hill Fire Tower
Looking for a scenic view without having to climb a mountain? Come visit the Historic Cornell Hill Fire Tower. The fire tower is open weather permitting.

Wildlife Festival
Our Wildlife Festival takes place annually on the first weekend of June, and this year’s event will be held on Sunday, May 31, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The festival coincides with the stunning bloom of wild blue lupines and the emergence of the first brood of the endangered Karner blue butterfly—truly a sight to behold! It is a celebration of wildlife and the natural world, where we bring together local environmental, conservation, recreation, and educational organizations for an enriching experience.

This is a two-part, 90-minute workshop guiding participants on a short walk to be followed by a discussion of nature writing elements.

Global Big Day Bird Walk at Graphite Range Community Forest
Celebrate Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Global Big Day with a bird walk! An event that invites birders to submit checklists via the eBird platform!
Following the walk, Canopy of Saratoga warmly invites all attendees to continue the festivities of Global Big Day with complimentary drip coffee and engaging bird activities, including coloring pages from 10 AM to 2 PM.
