Winter Trail Report: Monday, January 11, 2020

It has been great to see so many people out and enjoying the trails! Even a little snow gives us all the chance to get outdoors and get some fresh air and sunshine (on the sunny days!)

Unfortunately, the snow fairies have not been kind to us after such an amazing snowy start to the season. The trails are very hard packed and can be icy in spots. There are places in the open meadows where bare ground has broken through.

Snowshoes are recommended to stay safe on the icy surfaces. Cross country skiers have found better snow off trail in the meadows, but with the warming temperatures forecast for the rest of the week, we may lose a lot of snow.

We will not be doing any grooming until we have some fresh snow to work with.
